GSMA Predicts That Mobile Data Will Overtake Voice by 2018

gsmaIf you think about it, the mobile voice market (you know, calling someone to talk to them) is a pretty crowded space at the moment. Never at any time in history have I used third party free services to make voice calls. I use Skype to call family in the Caribbean and I use Viber to call my sister in the Med. In fact, when you walk down the street, you can frequently hear the Viber ring tone chiming from a whole host of different users.

GSMA are predicting that mobile phone companies will actually make more money from data than they will from voice calls by 2018. Now, this is a pretty bold statement, but one I totally agree with and conclude that this is the most logical conclusion.

The GSMA is an organisation that represents the mobile industry has suggested that the  growth of machine-to-machine communications were creating a lot of demand.

I set up Hot Deals Monster because I was frustrated with the lack of deals specifically targeted to Men. I wasn't interested in cheap nappies or 10p off my next box of cornflakes. I wanted real, interesting deals that would genuinely help and save money for the male consumer.
