First of all, thanks to jon4lakers for the video review.

Our Thoughts:

The launch of the new BlackBerry Z10 is here today and boy, does it feel like a long time since we first heard the announcement.

They’ve actually done a rebrand of a rebrand and are now calling themselves Blackberry instead of RIM. They’ve also decided to run their own operating system on the Z10 which I feel is quite a brave thing to do. Bearing in mind that the vast majority of smart phone users are either running Android or IOS at the moment.

As you can see from the title of this post, it’s actually available for you to buy on contract wit T-Mobile at the moment and the recommended contract is £36. I’ll leave it to you to choose which contract you’d like to opt for.

If you don’t want a contract, you’ll have to fork out £480 for a SIM-free version.

So, what are the specs? Like the video says, it has an 1,800mAh battery, 8MP camera with a single LED flash, 16GB of internal storage, a 4.2-inch 1280 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. With those types of specs, it’s definitely targeting the iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 market in my opinion.

There’s actually no navigation buttons at the front of the phone. Every single navigation is to be done on the the touch screen. To be fair, the look isn’t really that different from most smart phones out there (you may think different), but either way, it looks nice.

The size specs are 130 x 65.6 x 9mm and it’s lighter than the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, though not as light as the iPhone 5.

It has slots underneath for both a microSD and microSIM cards with the SD supporting cards up to 32GB. However, look out for a larger upgrade to 64GB in the future.

What’s nice is the NFC feature on the rear cover. This means your phone can interact with other NFC enabled devices. Not that popular at the moment, but who knows, it may catch on in 2013.

All in all, a nice phone on a very competitive contract with T-mobile.

I set up Hot Deals Monster because I was frustrated with the lack of deals specifically targeted to Men. I wasn't interested in cheap nappies or 10p off my next box of cornflakes. I wanted real, interesting deals that would genuinely help and save money for the male consumer.
