Facebook know that they’ve conquered the social media space, in fact they pretty much own that space. According to Socialbakers, Facebook have a record 62,348,447 users in the UK and rising. However, since the vast majority of the western world are increasingly using their smart phones and tablets to browse the web and communicate via social media, Facebook needs to grow and adjust with the times.

For that reason, Facebook needs to acquire small  mobile start=ups that have some traction in the marketplace and are already providing a service to their audience. For example, companies that are already well integrated into the Facebook ecosystem would be a fantastic idea and easier for Facebook to completely assimilate into Facebook’s software and systems.

Dan Rose, Facebook’s vice president of partnerships, said on stage at AllThingsD‘s media conference on Tuesday.

“From an M&A perspective, long term history of us is around talent,” said Rose, noting that many of Facebook’s executive leadership came through those talent acquisitions. “Instagram was our first product acquisition. I think you’ll see us do more product and technology acquisitions as we solidify perspective as a mobile company.”

I set up Hot Deals Monster because I was frustrated with the lack of deals specifically targeted to Men. I wasn't interested in cheap nappies or 10p off my next box of cornflakes. I wanted real, interesting deals that would genuinely help and save money for the male consumer.
